Test if Your ISP is Limiting Your Download Speed

Are you feeling, less download speed or streaming speed while watching a YouTube video or downloading files through torrent client.
For an example your download speed while watching other websites or download in other websites if your speed is 150kb/sec and while you watching youtube it may decreases to 50 kb/sec if your ISP is shaping your traffic.
Is your ISP limited your download speed?
You can check whether your ISP is limited your download speed or not by using Glasnost Test. Glasnost is test whether certain applications or traffic are being blocked or throttled on your broadband connection.
Glasnost attempts to detect whether your Internet access provider is performing application-specific traffic shaping. Currently, you can test if your ISP is throttling or blocking email, HTTP or SSH transfer, Flash video, and P2P apps including BitTorrent, eMule and Gnutella .

Every Glasnost test will takes about 8 minutes.It is using java application to test, you need to allow the java plugin to make those test. For more accurate results, you should stop downloads which run on your background.
